F10 · Bodily resurrection of Christ

Christ was truly raised in the body.

Tier: First-order (scoring weight 3). How the tiers were set: theological triage. Method: conventions. Traditions’ sources: confessional sources.

In short

Jesus rose from the dead in his own body: he could be touched and he ate (Luke 24). Paul says that without the resurrection faith is useless. The earliest fathers insisted Christ was still ‘in the flesh’ after rising. All nine traditions hold it.
